A hearty midweek meal made within 30 minutes.
Chicken Sambal has always been one of my favourite dishes, and no one makes it better then mum. It does however involve a lot of frying, so we discovered cooking it with our Sambal Paste is healthier and taste pretty good too. Especially in winter, served in a #bakersdelight cob, makes it a hearty dish! Inspired by our South African friend's 'Bunny chow', this Sambal Delight
is sure to be a winner in winter!
1 whole chicken, chopped into small pieces (with bones)
Satay G's Sambal Paste #satayg
Onions, 2 cloves garlic, 1 tsp of ginger, and steamed veggies of your choice
Bakers Delight Cob #Bakersdelight
Heat 1 tbsp of oil in pot, stir in chopped onions. When browned add chopped ginger and garlic
Add chopped chicken and 1/2 tsp of salt, stir through until partly browned
Add 1 bottle of Satay G's Sambal Paste, 180gm of water, and stir for 2 mins. Simmer for 20 mins
Remove chunks from the centre of the cob, add in the Chicken Sambal, serve with steamed veggies! Sambal Delight!
